🐺🏀 BASKETBALL INFORMATION!! 🐺🏀 Prescott will play Bald Knob on Wednesday, March 5, at 8:30 p.m. The 3A State Tournament is being hosted by Valley Springs School District at North Arkansas College in Harrison. Please see fhe following information for the State basketball tournament: - Spector Guidelines: 1. Engage in positive encouragement and support of their team without being rude, negative or derogatory to opponents. 2. Demonstrate respect and appreciation for game officials and the difficulty of the jobs they perform for our schools. 3. Shall not wear full face paint or mask. Small logos or insignias are allowed. 4. Shall not wear derogatory or suggestive slogans on apparel. 5. Stay off the playing area. 6. Shall not participate in negative, demeaning, or obscene yells. 7. Show respect for public property and equipment. 8. Must wear shirts. No bare chests are permitted. 9. Shall not throw any objects on the playing area. - Indoor Venue Guidelines: 1. School controlled sound systems and school controlled noisemakers shall be restricted to pregame, between quarters or sets, halftime, postgame and timeouts. Bands are not allowed at regional or state tournaments. 2. The use of artificial noisemakers is not allowed. 3. No handheld signs, balloons, poms, towels, megaphones, etc. are allowed. 4. Poms properly used by school spirit squads are allowed. ALL Fans are required to adhere to these rules and failure to do so can result in ejection! We are eager to provide a fun and competitive atmosphere for this year's tournament and we appreciate every fans support in following these guidelines. - All Tickets are digital and can be purchased online at the door or on the Go Fan app. There will be no physical tickets. Christopher Walker placed 2nd at the regional ACTM mathematics competition at SAU. Jose Banda and Thomas Miller received honorable mentions. Isaiah Gulley also competed. Christopher qualified for the State Competition at UCA in late April. Way to go guys!!!

The John Cain-Benjamin Culp DAR chapter hosted Prescott School District 5th-8th grade GT students this morning at their annual American History Essay Contest Awards Ceremony. GT students participated in the essay contest, “Enjoying a new kind of Tea Party”, each writing an essay imagining they were a part of one of the tea parties in North Carolina giving details of why they would choose to join said tea oarty while explaining their decision. Congratulations to the winner of each grade competing at the local level! 🏆5th grade- Hadley Ratcliff 🏆6th grade-Ni’Yunee Anthony 🏆7th grade- Averie Jackson 🏆8th grade-Arden Gonzales Each of these essays were sent to the state level to be judged. Congratulations to Arden Gonzales who won at the State level! Arden’s essay has been sent to the Regional level! We are very proud of all of our GT students who took on the task of writing these essays. It takes hard work and commitment to complete this assignment!
