Five Prescott High School students proudly represented Prescott Chemistry at OBU Chem Day, where they spent the day exploring OBU's Chemistry program! In the lab, they synthesized organic compounds through esterification, creating scents such as banana and mint. Through hands-on experiments and tastings, they discovered how functional groups contribute to the unique flavors and aromas found in everyday life. Jakhia Burton is seen presenting her electronegativity model to the other student representatives. 🧪🧑‍🔬
