Circa 1968 - 🐺🏈 field
The words of our PHS librarian Anne Franks who loves the Curley Wolves! ❤️🐺
“Love seeing our football field, home stands, & concession stand. I marched with the Curly Wolf Marching bands, Jr High and Sr High, for 6 years on this field, practiced here, sat in the bleachers, & cheered for our Curly Wolves (no E in Curly back then.) Now PHS sits where this field was located. As I walk the hallways at work, I am still trodding on this memory filled ground making new memories each day. My roots run deep!” 🐺❤️

Prescott School District will always go above and beyond to make sure our students are safe and protected. Over the weekend, it was reported that someone heard that someone said a threat was made towards the school. No one knows who, no one knows what and no one knows when. To make sure our students are protected, we have involved our local police department to help us with any situation that could occur. We are not under lockdown. There has been no incident of any kind.

The governor declared February as Career and Technical Education (CTE) month in Arkansas. Regional events are being held across the state at seven different educational locations. Prescott High School was chosen as one of the schools to host a Regional Showcase event to highlight successful CTE programs around the state. This past Thursday, Prescott students and educators showcased their CTE programs to the Arkansas Department of Education CTE members, ACE Career Education Division Manager Tim Johnston, Program Advisors Jessica Thomas, Sunni Wise and Matt Burns as well as Southwest Arkansas Educational Cooperative CTE Coordinator Shannon Puckett, Dequeen-Mena Edcational Cooperative CTE Coordinator Stacey Southerland and Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service Agent Stacy Stone. Prescott CTE students welcomed guests as they arrived and served a continental breakfast. PHS CTE senior Kiesha Johnson began the program and welcomed all stakeholders. Students introduced those in attendance including Prescott Superintendent Robert Poole, PHS Principal Tommy Poole, CTE teachers, Linda Benton, Kendra Haynie, James Cannon, Allison Kisselburg and Dennis Guidry along with Valarie Cobb, Angie Bryant, Fred Harris (OYEA) and Elaine Williams. Following a video presentation explaining the CTE programs at Prescott High School, others were given the opportunity to speak. Mr. Guidry introduced a few of his students in attendance. Judd Milam stood and spoke on embryo transplant, Gavan Hatley on welding construction and fixing things on the farm he also introduced Carson Moore as farm manager who makes sure things run smoothly on our school farm. Superintendent Robert Poole thanked everyone for coming and their continued support of our kids and these much needed programs. The group then toured the business classroom, computer lab, the school barn and the agriculture shop and classroom. Visitors were very impressed with the facilities and opportunities in the career technical field given to our students at Prescott High School.
