The Kiwanis Club invited the Prescott High School Key Club for their monthly luncheon today. President Olivia Cornelius informed Kiwanis members of their service activities planned for this year. Retake Day!! 
For 9th, 10th and 11th grades at high school AND 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade at the jr high school will be Wednesday, November 16. 
This is ONLY for students in 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th grades that did not have their pictures taken in October.

SENIOR RETAKE DAY- NOVEMBER 16TH - WEDNESDAY
FOR ONLY SENIORS THAT DID NOT HAVE PICTURES TAKEN IN OCTOBER, NO MORE RETAKES.
A $10.00 sitting fee is due at the time pictures are taken. Cap & Gown and Tux/Drape attire will be provided:
Girls - please bring a strapless tank top for drape picture
Boys - Wear a white t-shirt for the tux picture
These pictures will be used in yearbook. 
Remember school dismisses early at 2:15.

The students in the 7th grade Arkansas History and the 8th grade U.S. History classes with the highest grade average represented their class at the first annual OYEA (Organization for Youths in Education and Agriculture) Banquet, Tuesday, October 25 in the Prescott Junior High cafeteria. Representing 7th grade Arkansas History with the highest average was Rylee Williams and representing 8th grade U.S. History with the highest average was Yeybeth Zacarias. These young ladies are separated by one point, in their individual course, from a fellow classmate. As encouragement, Ms. Pearl Bailey rewarded Ms. Williams and Ms. Zacarias with a ticket to the banquet.

PJHS had a little Red Ribbon Week fun as well! Congratulations to Mr. Christopher and Ms. Colbert for winning the door decoration contest! Mrs. Bell cane in a close second! Such creative design!

Ms. Ward’s 8th graders completed lesson 2 over Graph of Proportional Relationship. Students had to identify the same proportional relationship using different scales and then write the equation representing each relationship.

PHS students from Mr. Hastings and Mrs. Rosenbaum’s  classes attended the SAU STEM Open House today. Students were very impressed! They had a blast and learned while  experimenting with labs such as Eye on Ewe (sheep eyes), fruit batteries (lights and a calculator) and blood typing. Thank you Southern Arkansas University for providing this opportunity for high school students!
