PHS senior Essence Thomas accepted a library challenge given to all high school students before the long break and of course tackled it head on. Mrs. Franks, the PHS librarian, asked high school students to read to each day while they were out of school. Mrs. Franks asked that students also video themselves reading to younger children and to email her the video. She also asked them to chose a book that was not on their reading assignment list and answer a series of questions and report them to her.
Congratulations to winner Essence Thomas for completing the challenge successfully! Mrs. Franks presented her with a $20.00 cash prize!

REVISED PRESCOTT FOOTBALL GUIDELINES!
8/21/20
Curley Wolf Football Fans,
After discussion with the CDC and AAA, please see the following changes to guidelines for Sr AND Jr high football games:
🏈 All tickets will be pre-sold. NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE GATES.
🏈 Tickets are $5.00 each.
🏈 To keep us in compliance with social distancing guidelines, we will have 250 tickets (see below for disbursement) available for home and 100 for visitors.
🏈 Each high school football player, cheerleader and band member will have TWO tickets set aside for them to purchase on Monday or Tuesday., 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at the PES carport. If those tickets are not purchased in those days, they will be sold to the general public on Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Monday and Tuesday will be for football players, cheer and band ONLY.
Wednesday we will have 50 tickets and any not purchased by football players, cheer and band sold to the general public with a limit of 2 tickets purchased on a first come first serve basis.
🏈 Games played away from home will addressed on a week to week basis depending on the number of tickets we are allotted to us.
🏈 No athletes will be let in free except the ones playing that night. No school staff will be let in free. This will help us keep an accurate count of how many people are in the stadium.
🏈 Everyone is required to have a mask on from the time they enter the stadium until the time they exit the gates.
🏈 NO ONE WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE FOOTBALL FIELD OR TRACK BEFORE OR AFTER BALLGAMES.
🏈 Concession stands will have limited items to sell. Items purchased will include drinks and packaged items such as chips, candy, pickles, popcorn, etc.
We need you to help us make this football season a successful one. We want our kids to be able to play football, cheer and play in the band. YOU can help us make this happen by following all the rules and regulations. This is not the ideal situation but we hope you understand some things are out of our control and our kids need football. Thank you in advance for your cooperation!
If you have any questions or need guidance, please contact Valarie Cobb at 870-703-4679 or vcobb@prescottschool.net.
