Attention Prescott parents: Letters are being sent out this week if your child is due for an immunization prior to school resuming in the fall. ALL students starting Pre-K and kindergarten are required to have a current physical exam and up to date immunizations. ALL students turning 11 years of age between 9/1/2020 and 9/1/2021 are required to have a Tdap vaccine. ALL students entering 7th grade are required to have a MCV-4 vaccine. ALL students turning 16 years of age between 9/1/2020 and 9/1/2021 are required to have a MCV-4 booster. These immunizations are required by the state for all students attending public school. If your child has an exemption for any of the required vaccines, you will need to bring a new exemption letter from the state each year by the first day of school. The Nevada County Health Unit recommends you make your appointment as early as possible due to the large number of students needing vaccinations by August. You can make an appointment by calling 870-887-2004. Please bring or send the updated immunization records to the school prior to August 16th. They can also be faxed to 870-887-3398. Prescott School District will be having a district wide Active Shooter Drill. This is a requirement by the state department. The drill also allows practice for our students and faculty to know what to expect if we are faced with an active shooter. We will practice lockdown procedures and other safety measures associated with the drill. We want to make parents aware that this will be happening before the end of the school year.

Prescott School District Preschool Registration will be held May 24 - 27, 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Children must be 4 years old by August 1st. Please bring birth certificate, shot record, social security card and proof of physical.
