The Prescott Nevada County Chamber of Commerce Scholarship awards two $250 scholarships to be used for college tuition, books, or room and board. Deadline to apply is April 8. Application can be picked up and returned to the PHS counselor’s office.
The Spilled Milk Scholarship is awarded to one student annually who meets the criteria of this scholarship, it is to be paid out in two installments, one Fall payment in the sum of $500 and one
Spring payment in the sum of $500 and is non-renewable.
Criteria:
1. Annual family income less than $40,000 (proof needed)
2. Must be enrolled in a college, university, vocational, or technical school (or acceptance
letter)
3. Must write/type a letter minimum 2 pages double spaced of why you should be awarded
this scholarship
4. Must have a cumulative GPA of a 2.5 or higher
5. 3 letters of recommendation from teachers/administrators
6. Submit items by May 1, 2022 completed
The Windgate Scholarship is based on talent and financial need and can be worth up to $2,000 per semester in the freshman year, based on amount of financial need. The scholarship is renewable and can increase up to $1,000 each year. In the senior year, up to $5,000 per semester can potentially be awarded. Two such scholarships will be awarded to incoming freshmen for the 2022-2023 academic year.
To be eligible for the Scholarship, students must do the following:
· Complete on-line submission of an FAFSA form by the deadline indicated in the Application. Instructions for accessing the form are provided in the Application;
· Return a completed Application, along with the requested materials, via United States Mail, to my office by the deadline shown in the Application;
· Plan to declare Art as their major emphasis of study; and,
· Attend the University of Central Arkansas in the Fall 2022 semester.

If you have made a 19 on your ACT or higher you need to go apply for this scholarship. You will also have to accept this scholarship on your account to be awarded. Everyone that makes 19 or above is eligible.

1. We are going to begin posting scholarship opportunities for our seniors on our social media as well as our app. Senior parents, your senior also get all kinds of information emailed to them on the senior pipeline from PHS. Please make sure they pay attentions to senior announcements there.

PHS will be hosting a FAFSA workshop for students and parents on Wednesday, February 9 from 5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Students and parents, please make your accounts before this event at https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa to make it quicker to acces that night.
You will also need to bring your 2020 W2’s and tax returns.
This is for all seniors that are going to college in tue fall if 2022 and any juniors taking college classes that have not completed their FAFSA.

Letterman jacket packets were sent home with JUNIOR ATHLETES (coach approved for those that lettered) this past week.
