PRESCOTT HIGH CHAPTER FCCLA BANQUET IN REVIEW
The Prescott High Chapter of Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) Annual Awards Banquet was a night to remember. Members were recognized for their participation and achievements for making Prescott High Chapter a Platinum State Project Chapter and a Gold Star Arkansas Chapter for the 2022-2023 school year.
Prior to receiving their awards, student were motivated to be more IncREDible by Mr. Luis Maya, National FCCLA Officer Candidate. Luis is a junior at Nashville High School and the immediate past Arkansas FCCLA Association First Vice President. He encouraged students to run for office on all levels of FCCLA, and compete in competitive events like STAR Events and other national competitions.
Students received awards for Community Service, Membership Campaign, Fundraising, and Leadership. The outstanding freshmen, sophomore, junior and senior members were recognized along with a salute senior members.
FCCLA’s Community Service partner Hamilton Haven House was awarded a porch swing as part of the chapter’s Beautification Project.

Mr. Christopher’s classes had Reading Passages on Agriculture, Life Cycles and lessons on comprehension. They invited the third grade to read part of a chicken book on The Process of Incubation. This was a great learning opportunity to connect to the community around them.
Big shout out to Denise Walker for donating the eggs and Mrs. Maxwell for allowing Mr. Christopher’s class to use the incubator as well as providing an assortment of books for reference. #impactthepack

Construction crews are working on all parking lots surrounding our building. For pick up this afternoon, parents will use the elementary car rider line (Howard Austin Avenue). Students will be waiting by the Firestone building and Mr. Davis will be directing traffic in that area so PreK parents can get through.

GRADUATION REMINDERS!!
Graduation will be held this Sunday, May 7 at 3:00 p.m. in the gymnasium.
Each senior will be assigned 4 numbered tickets. Only these ticket holders will be allowed entrance into the gym from 2:00 to 2:30 in order for them to have preferred seating. Tickets will be checked at the door. At 2:30, doors will be opened to the general public.
If you did not attend the senior breakfast, you may contact Valarie Cobb to get your tickets.
Also, no one will be allowed on the gym floor except authorized personnel before, during or after graduation. You may meet your graduate outside after graduation to take photos.

Saturday, April 29 was Governor’s Scholastic Honors Day at the Governor’s Mansion in Little Rock. Scholastic Honors Day recognizes Arkansas’ best and brightest students who represent excellence in academic achievement in their senior class. Prescott High School seniors Aydan Bullinger and Carston Poole were selected for this honor. Congratulations to Aydan and Carston for their hard work and dedication in the classroom! #impactthepack
