More than 85,000 students from 414 schools in 55 counties across Arkansas participated in local and county contests that led up to the State Spelling Bee. Prescott eighth grader, Grayson Conrad, competed in the 2025 Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas State Spelling Bee in Little Rock this past weekend placing 12th.

Kicked off Read Across America Week with Dr. Seuss’s Bday!! ♥️📚
Dr. Charles Looney visited Mr. Guidry’s Animal Science classes this morning to set up cows on the school farm for embryo transfer. Students helped load heifers into the shoot and Dr. Looney showed them how to implant a CIDR (Controlled Internal Drug Release). This device is used in cattle to synchronize estrus and improve pregnancy rates. #schoolfarm #herewegrow

ACT PREP!!!
The next ACT Prep session will be held April 4, 2025 at the SWAEC. We will start at 8:30 a.m. and finish by 2:30 p.m. Students must bring a lunch. They will not be allowed to leave campus.
This session is not for all students. Please only register students trying to increase their score for college admissions.
We only have 60 seats available to split between 9 districts. Please ask students not to register if they are unsure if they will attend or not. The last few sessions, we have had a lot of students who did not show up after registering. We do not want empty seats!
