PHS senior Essence Thomas accepted a library challenge given to all high school students before the long break and of course tackled it head on. Mrs. Franks, the PHS librarian, asked high school students to read to each day while they were out of school. Mrs. Franks asked that students also video themselves reading to younger children and to email her the video. She also asked them to chose a book that was not on their reading assignment list and answer a series of questions and report them to her.
Congratulations to winner Essence Thomas for completing the challenge successfully! Mrs. Franks presented her with a $20.00 cash prize!
